MORE IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR 2014 - announced at last night's pre-season SGM

RAY DIGMAN & CHESTER CUP FIXTURES

The changes to the KO competition formats has meant that the 1st Round matches for teams without a bye are played on the same day as 2nd Rround matches for those with a bye.

Play-Cricket does not permit 2nd Round fixtures to be published until the 1st Round is completed. Therefore 2nd Round teams will be unable to 'see' their fixtures and download for TCS or input results.

To overcome this problem for each of the 1st and 2nd XI KOs two competitions have been created, namely Ray Digman 'Round 1a' & Ray Digman 'Round 1b' and Chester Cup 'Round 1a' & Chester Cup 'Round 1b'. 1a competitions include 32 teams and 1b competitions include 4 teams in order to avoid any teams needing byes. 'Rounds 1a' include the eight teams in Round 1 of the proper draw so that the fixtures between the winning teams will appear in the right place for publishing on Play-Cricket.

When the 16 winners in Round 2 of both the proper draws are known and the draw has been made the fixtures will be entered in the 'proper' Play-Cricket Competitions.

As far as clubs are concerned simply play the KO fixtures as they will appear on their Play-Cricket websites but remember that the home team must advise Jason Ratcliffe the arranged date of their next fixture.

Tony Molloy must be advised of Embee Trophy fixture dates and Eric Hadfield of the other KO fixture dates, ie ECB t20, U16 & U21 t20s.

Unfortunately the 2014 handbook has been printed with a page of the Officials missing. Below is the revised list of Assistant Results Secretaries for 2014.

Apart from the name of the ARSec on each MRF the only other changes affect 1st XI matches where the number of overs bowled in the 2nd innings up to the start of the last hour needs to be recorded.
