Clubs and Franchises now to confirm commitment
LIVERPOOL COMPETITION OVER 40’s LEAGUE – 2015
Following the expressions of interest from clubs and some “regional franchises” we are now going ahead with a pilot Over 40’s Competition in 2015.
Firm applications are now required from clubs and franchises to take part in the competition.
The suggested franchises were:
Wales: Colwyn Bay, Prestatyn, Northop Hall.
Wirral: Caldy, Birkenhead Park, Birkenhead St Mary’s, Parkfield Liscard, New Brighton, Wallasey
South Liverpool: Sefton Park, Liverpool, Old Xaverians, Wavertree, Alder
North Liverpool: Bootle, Northern, Maghull, Hightown
Sefton: Formby, Ainsdale, Southport and Birkdale, Fleetwood Hesketh
West Lancs: Ormskirk, Burscough, Skelmersdale, Rainford.
St Helens: St Helens Town, Rainhill, Sutton, Newton Le Willows
Wigan: Wigan, Highfield, Orrell, Leigh, Spring View
NOTE: any combination of clubs or a club standing alone can take part.
Format
· T20 Cricket
· Two groups ( probably of no more than 4 teams) to play a maximum of 6 games from May to July
· A Finals day in August for the top four clubs.
· No registrations required but players must be members of the club or franchise.
· Matches set up on Play Cricket for results and tables
