URGENT NOTIFICATION OF RESCHEDULED KO MATCHES REQUIRED

Date: 23rd April 2016

Matches not played on 16 April must be rescheduled and notified to MCUA and Management Committee urgently.

1. Rescheduled Cup games on Play-Cricket.

The scheduled "fixtured" or play-by date is the date we use when entering the Cup fixtures onto Play Cricket. If, for some reason, the game is not played by that date, the match date needs to be amended or it will not appear in a club's Play-Cricket website when it is due to be played.

It is essential that the relevant Assistant Result Secretary (ARSec) is made aware of any potential delays BEFORE the scheduled fixture or play by date so that the game can be amended. NOTE: Most club website administrators with the correct Play-Cricket access levels can also make these changes but they must then inform the ARSec.

A bulletin was posted on this website on 12 April concerning widespread difficulties with clubs being unable to prepare suitable playing facilities for 16 April matches.  Clubs were asked to inform L&DCC and MCUA Officials if matches were to be postponed.  Many clubs did but a significant number didn't and some have still not confirmed or advised of the new dates.

Following the cancellation of 13 Ray Digman Trophy and 12 Chester Cup matches last Saturday 16 April Play-Cricket presently shows the following information regarding the fixture dates.

It is essential that clubs advise Eric Hadfield (hadfield369@btinternet.com) for all matches and MCUA's Chris Dunn (ChrisDunn119@hotmail.co.uk) for 1st XI matches of the intended fixture date if it is not as listed above as soon as possible.  Umpires for the 1st XI matches need at least 7 days notice.

2. Entering and checking results on Play-Cricket

Failure to confirm the result on Play Cricket is one of the most common errors arising in fines for the offending clubs.

When the Away Team clicks on the match Result and scorecard on Play Cricket to confirm the result, they should also be checking the accuracy of the their team's scorecard (both batting and bowling). There has already been one instance on the opening weekend where there were player’s details errors which were not amended when the result was confirmed.

When entering match information on play-cricket, it is essential that all of the Fall of Wicket details (including the not out batsmen and preferably the score) are shown for completeness. This is essential for all First and Second XI games.
