CONGRATULATIONS TO AINSDALE PROMOTED TO PREMIER DIVISION and almost CHAMPIONS 2016.

Ainsdale are now promoted to the Premier Division following their 41 run win over Highfield.. Congratulations to Andy Barlow and his team and to all at Ainsdale Cricket Club.

Barring a points deduction and and not earning any points in their final game they should be proclaimed Champions.

Although Ainsdale are just 25 points ahead of Southport and Birkdale, and if, technically, they played and lost next week's game and got 0 points and S+B won their game with 25 points, the two teams would then have level points. (Stick with it) The next deciding factor is the number of games won and both teams would be on 11. The next deciding factor is batting bonus points. Currently Ainsdale have 33 and S+B have 25. The maximum S+B could earn is 5, giving them 30 against Ainsdale's 33.

Congratulations also to Skelmersdale, heading for Division 1 after sealing the Division 2 title a number of weeks ago.
