AN INFORMATION SESSION FOR JUNIOR MANAGERS AND HELPERS - helping to get the game on.

Date: 23rd April 2017

AN INFORMATION SESSION FOR JUNIOR MANAGERS AND HELPERS - helping to get the game on.

Tuesday 25 April at Bootle CC. 7pm to 9pm FREE (Tea/coffee will be available from 6.45)

The session is for any club members and parents from the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition and the Southport and District Amateur Cricket League and there is no charge.

It is specifically designed for those who currently manage or intend to manage or help with Junior Cricket Teams this coming season. If you don’t want to be a coach, an assistant coach or an activator (all well catered for elsewhere) but wish to help with an age group team at your club, including umpiring games, and would like to be better equipped to do so – then this is for you.

John Williams (LSCA Secretary and LCB County Manager) and Kevin Wilson (ECB Lead Umpires Tutor for Merseyside) have teamed up to deliver the following two hour programme:

Management

·         Registration, documentation and permissions

·         Age group requirements – balls, pitch lengths, fielding distances etc

·         Fast bowling Directive and helmets

·         Juniors playing in Open Age Group Cricket.

Umpiring

·         Outline of main laws

·         Signals

·         Methods of dismissal

·         Focus on LBW

·         ECB Directives

At the end of the session Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Forms will be available for those that need them, together with guidance on their completion.

If you wish to attend please email johnawilliams1@btinternet.com with your name and club and just turn up on the evening.
