DISCIPLINE REPORTS - AGREED ACTIONS

Several disciplinary reports have been received and dealt with by the respective clubs since the last Bulletin.

I apologise for the delay in putting this bulletin on the website but the offences have all been dealt with in a timely manner as follows.

On June 30th, in a 2nd XI match between Spring View and Liverpool two Spring View players were reported by the Liverpool umpire. Spring View CC banned the captain Barry Jones for two weeks with a further three weeks suspended until the end of the 2019 season. His offence was abuse of a player using obscene language. The club also banned their player Andrew Bowes for one week with a further two weeks suspended until the end of the 2019 season. His offence was repeated questioning of the umpire's decisions. Both bans commenced at midnight on Friday July 6th.

On July 7th, the Leigh CC 1st XI player Ryan Housely was banned by his club for the rest of the 2018 season for inappropriate physical contact and abusive obscene language to an opponent. In view of this ban a further four week ban suspended to the end of the 2019 has been imposed by the Disciplinary Committee. The ban was imposed with immediate effect.

At the end of the 3rd XI match between Formby 4th XI and Fleetwood Hesketh 3rd XI on July 8th the Formby player Stephen Dwyer was banned by his club for equipment abuse. The ban of one week commences at midnight Friday 13th July and a further one week ban is suspended until the end of the 2019 season.

The three clubs involved in disciplining their players are to be commended for their prompt actions in all cases.
