Great Ayton won the toss and asked Chester Boughton Hall to bat who then scored 134 for 8 from their 20 with Lee Dixon on 52 and Goodwin on 34; Croft took 3 for 18
Great Ayton replied with 92 from their 20. J Williams took 5 for 13 and was man of the match and invited to play for Northants 2s today! R Dixon took 3 for 19 Chester Boughton Hall won by 42 runs
In Semi Final 2
Ashtead from the Second Division of the Surrey Championship beat the highly fancied and Minor Counties adorned Peterborough by 9 runs in a see saw game.
In the final
Chester Boughton Hall won the toss and elected to bat. Skipper Lee Dixon brought himself up the order and opened taking 23 from the very first over.
It's as well SKY TV were not there as their personnel would have been in mortal danger from some of the straight hitting into their camera and commentary positions! Chester Boughton Hall scored 178-7 from their 20 with Lee Dixon top scoring with 84 from 47 balls; Deighton 3 took 40.
Ashtead were all out for 80 with Rowland taking 4 for 11
Lee Dixon was made man of the match to the loud approval of the crowd
