BOOTLE ANNOUNCE TWO NEW SIGNINGS
Date: 13th November 2015
Davies and Liptrot head for Wadham Road
Lancashire Knockout Cup holders Bootle have signalled their intentions for 2016 with the signing of Chris Liptrot from Highfield and Danny Davies from Prestatyn.
Former Worcestershire pace bowler Liptrot moves from his home club, relegated to Division one this coming season, after taking 48 wickets at an average of 18.90 last year.
Davies, long regarded as one of the best young talents in the Liverpool Competition and a regular pick in the League’s U21 and Senior representative sides, scored 547 runs at an average of 28.79 and took 40 wickets at an average of 16.63 in Prestatyn’s Division One campaign last year.
Bootle skipper Craig Prince is delighted with the new additions at Wadham Road. He said “We have always been impressed with Chris when coming up against him in matches. His experience and control is just what we need and he comes as an excellent replacement for Will Purser. We have been aware of Danny for some time. He is an exciting young talent with bat and ball and we look forward to working with him and watching him continue to develop”.
