2017 PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

We are pleased to announce the continuation of the Player Development Programme, now in its ninth year, and seek nominations from Member and Associate Member clubs. The Programme will broadly follow the successful format of previous years, the details of which are as follows:

PROGRAMME AIMED AT: Boys and Girls in playing ages in 2017 between U13 and U18 inclusive. (Nominations outside of this age range cannot be considered).

CURRENT ABILITY LEVEL: Playing regularly at club level and aspiring to, or already at, District or Representative level.

VENUE: St Margarets Cricket and Sports Centre, Aigburth Rd, Liverpool. L17 6AB

DATES AND TIMES: 10 Consecutive Saturdays from 21 January to 25 March, Two groupings based on age from 1.00 to 3.00 and 3.00 to 5.00. Note that groupings are subject to change according to progress throughout the programme.

DELIVERY: The programme will be delivered by a combination of experienced ECB Level 3 Coaches and led again by Steve Critchley LCB County Age Group Coach and ECB Coach Tutor.

COSTS: The costs of the programme (approx £5500) are primarily met out of the fines paid by clubs during the 2016 season. However,to ensure continued commitment throughout the programme, clubs will be levied with a charge of £50 per player. This will be included in the club's pre-season statement.

NOMINATIONS: Each of the 44 Member and Associate Clubs is invited to nominate one player to take part by no later than Monday 31 October.Clubs may also nominate a second individual (clearly marked) and these will be considered should any places be available after the closing date.
