LEIGH CC SELECTED TO STAGE WORLD CUP SUPER FESTIVAL

Congratulations to Leigh Cricket Club on being chosen to stage a Cricket World Cup Super Festival on Sunday 9 June. A great honour and a great achievement,

We wish them every success and will help them in any way we can.

This is what the World Cup Festival Panel said about their application:

"After an overwhelming number of 360 applications to stage a Cricket World Cup Super Festival including a PCA England Masters game on Sunday 9th June, the adjudicating panel has narrowed it down to one club - Leigh CC in Lancashire.

Leigh CC has a track record in staging large, community based events and their plan for a fun fair, fireworks display, volunteer recognition and fun filled cricket for all came out on top of the pile."
