UPDATED: RAY CONNOLLY, WAVERTREE'S SCORER FOR 25 YEARS, PASSES AWAY

Sad news from Sandown Lane:
Wavertree's 1st X1 scorer of 25 years, Ray Connolly, has passed away.
He was found at home on Thursday the 11th of February.
It goes without saying that he will be greatly missed.
Ray's funeral is to be held on Friday 4th March at St Cecila's Church, Green Lane, L13 7DT at 10am; the church is close to the West Derby Road end and is near the old cinema/bowling alley/nightclub.
There will be a celebration of Ray's life at the Parish Club adjoining the church, after his burial in Allerton Cemetery.
