MAGHULL CC AGREES NEW LEASE WITH THE TOWN COUNCIL
Date: 18th September 2017
Cricket is assured at Old Hall Field for the foreseeable future!
Maghull Cricket Club are pleased to announce that their membership has voted to accept the lease offered by Maghull Town Council at a Special General Meeting last Friday. This has been a long running process in negotiating a lease that will enable the club to continue operating along current lines.
The club would like to thank those committee members, especially Gareth Lloyd and Mike Hagan who have worked tirelessly in negotiating this lease and we look forward to continuing our close association with Maghull Town Council.
Furthermore, we would like to thank the local community who rallied around us to add their support especially Mrs Angela Wilson, who organised the petition that showed the strength of feeling amongst the population of Maghull and the wider cricketing community.
The club would also like to thank all of the Liverpool Comp and other local clubs who expressed their support, Paul Bryson and Bobby Denning of the LCB for their advice and the league's Management Committee for their offers of support.
Cricket is assured at Old Hall Field for the foreseeable future!
