THE TOURNAMENT

The Tournament runs over 5 DAYS. The first 4 days are ‘GROUP’ STAGES. The top 4 placed teams will qualify for the FINALS DAY to be held on 6^th SEPTEMBER. Your team play in only 2 of the ‘Group’ days.

ALL MATCHES ARE 8 A SIDE

There are 12 teams and across your two 'Group' Days you will play a total of 8 games (against 4 different opponents). Points accrued on your Day 1 are taken forward to Day 2.

‘GROUP’ STAGE

INDIVIDUAL TEAMS PLAY ON TWOOF THESE DATES:

16^th,23^rd, 30^th, 31^st AUGUST 2020

1200 - 1600 ( PRECISE TIMINGS TBC) – Covid Measures: arrival and start times of groups will be staggered

FINALS DAY

TOP 4 PLACED TEAMS QUALIFY

6th SEPTEMBER 2020

1200 - 1400 (PRECISE TIMINGS TBC)

Groups to play in discrete bubbles of 30:

3 teams x 8 players

umpires x 2

Scorer x 1

Coaches x 3

There will be 2 separate groups of 30 at each of the venues, with the respective teams playing on their own pitch. The playing group is set at 8 for the day, meaning a squad or pool of players CANNOT be used for the various games that day. Different players can be used at subsequent Meets as long as they total a maximum of 8 on the day.

We are as confident as we can be that all of the planned activity will take place at the venues above, and on the dates stated. However, in the current circumstances, we need to point out that events locally or regionally may have a bearing on this and at short notice. We will though endeavour to reschedule activities if faced with that scenario.

We will be following strictly all social distancing and hygiene protocols as prescribed by the ECB and the activities will be taking place in fully risk assessed settings. Everything that has been published to date by the ECB on this has been sent to all W&G contacts. Prior to each of the Meets, full information and instructions relating to the day will be sent out to the competing teams. This will cover spectators and will need to be transmitted to anyone in your party who wishes to attend.

THE 6 TEAMS WHO ARE PLAYING AT MEET 1 ON 16TH AUGUST WILL RECEIVE FULL DETAILS IN THE WEEK LEADING UP
