L&DCC WOMEN & GIRLS CRICKET: FREE PLAY-CRICKET TRAINING FROM ECB

FREE TRAINING to support clubs in scoring and uploading results to the Play-Cricket platform.

Dear All

Further to the recent announcement on the expanded W&Gs Competitions Programme for the 2021 Season. We can now provide details of related FREE TRAINING to support clubs in scoring and uploading results to the Play-Cricket platform.

To remind all, in 2021 the organisation, scheduling and delivery of games will be moving away from the centre, to a model that more closely aligns to the men's and boy's game in our league, with clubs taking primary responsibility. This will include scoring and uploading of female match results to Play-Cricket.

To support clubs and female sections in this transition, with the help of the ECB and Lancashire Cricket Foundation, the League have made provision for training in the following areas:

SESSION 1: Club Administration

SESSION 2: Using Play Cricket Scorer and Play Cricket Scorer Pro

Each session takes 1 hour and will be delivered virtually.

Please consider who in your section/club would be most appropriate to take up the training and will fulfill the roles when our cricket commences. More than one person from your club can of course fulfill these roles.

You may already have people in your club who are conversant with Play-Cricket but please bear in mind female cricket is additional cricket activity for most clubs in our league and this new function needs to be adequately resourced. Scoring is a highly rewarding and important role, and this is a great volunteer opportunity within our rapidly growing segment of the game.

If you could please email the details of people wishing to do the course indicating which session they would like to do. Single participants can do both courses, if they wish.

Dates for the courses will be advised and the name and email address will be provided to the ECB, the course provider, who will then directly communicate with participants in sending the requisite information, links etc

PLEASE NOTE FROM THE START ON THE 2021 SEASON IT WILL BE A REQUIREMENT FOR CLUBS TO PROVIDE A SCORER AND FOR MATCH INFORMATION TO BE UPLOADED TO PLAY-CRICKET FOR THE FOLLOWING COMPETITIONS:
