Season 2021 Full normal season achieved with 25 replayed games due to Covid and a few other reasons. All but one of 1st and 2nd X1 games were ultimately played. Five successful t20 Finals days. Clubs thanked for their efforts and co-operation.

Grassroots/Coaches Award winners from the Comp.  Six individuals congratulated.

Divisional Structure in 2022 No change. League to advertise for 36th club before Christmas.

2022 Fixtures Season starts 23 April ends 17 September. Requests for Fixture date changes to be forwarded to Rob Durand in accordance with the email to be sent to all Secretaries. No changes allowed after the stated date. 

Players Survey Results to be presented to clubs at an event on 22 November at Love Lane Brewery Bar and Kitchen. These will be used to inform proposals for change (if any) at the AGM which is to be held on Tuesday 11 January 2022.

Finance Summary position presented by Peter Fleetwood plus some of theproposed expenditure in pursuing “Inspiring Generations” in 2022

Player Eligibility Revised Category definitions: Reduced residence requirements for non Tier 5 Overseas Players; Minor changes to Tier 5 (now T5) Application System.

Safeguarding Phil Green introduced as the new Liverpool Competition Safeguarding Officer. The importance of checking officials, players and coaches qualifications was emphasised.

Discipline The Liverpool Competition is to adopt the ECB’s new General Conduct Regulations in 2022 which will replace the previous Disciplinary Rules and Regulations.

Women’s and Girls The phenomenal success and development of the Women’s and Girls section, now with 27 clubs competing, was acknowledged. Liz Sinker (Northern) was announced as the Chair elect of the W&G Sub-Committee to be confirmed at the AGM, where player registration and other regulations applying to W&G cricket will be confirmed. Dates for the Indoor Tournaments were announced.

Junior Cricket This had been another successful League season with 5 age groups playing in 13 Divisions structured as Competitive Divisions and Development Divisions. This had proved to be a great success and it was intended to formalise this structure within the Junior Rules and Regulations in 2022.

Club and Ground Club and Ground Chair Jim Hathaway had compiled all the end of season statistics which would be shared with clubs on the evening of 22 November at Love Lane. The three Divisional Pitch Mark scores (from Umpires Cards) were displayed with “well done’s” to top scorers Southport and Birkdale (Premier) Northop Hall (Div 1) and Wavertree (Div 2)

Umpires John Farrell was thanked for his work in allocating umpires. Significant work was being undertaken by MCUA and L&DCC to address the current shortage. See Minutes for details.

Player Development Programme Now aimed at players (Boys and Girls) involved in Inter League Cricket. 10 Saturdays (January to March) with capacity to include new players and trials for 2022.

Inclusion and Diversity   ECB Premier Leagues are being urged to considerthis issue and produce plans to improve their awareness and performance.
