As the sun set on another cricket season, there was a fitting finale with the Ray Digman Trophy, superby hosted by Mike SImpson and his Formby CC team, including players, helpers and groundstaff, which was won by the best side on the day Wallasey who got the better of Firwood Bootle..

Man of the Match was Jamie Crawley who hit a magnificient 109 before being given run out in the last over although Chris Bourne's efforts in both the semi final (a cliff hanger defeat of hosts Formby) and the final made him a serious contender.

Thank you to all the volunteers, officials and players from all the LDCC clubs who have made this difficult season such a success and congratulations or commiserations to all those clubs who have enjoyed success or fell short
