Start time of Last hour's 20 overs.

Date: 27th May 2022

For those who are unsure

Some new team captains appear to be unsure when the start of the last hour's "last 20 overs" is scheduled with the differing start times over the three levels of cricket.

At Second and Third level games, the  playing time is 4 hours 15 minutes before the start of the last hours "last 20 overs" and this excludes the 30 minutes allocated for the "tea" interval and may be delayed by a further ten minutes if the break between the two innings occurs at a point outside (either before or after) the tea interval.

For 2nd XI games starting at 12:45 pm, the last hour will start at 5:30 pm (or 5:40 pm if the innings break is not taken between the tea interval).

For 3rd XI games starting at 1:45 pm, the last hour will start at 6:30 pm (or 6:40 pm if the innings break is not taken between the tea interval).

On Sundays if the 3rd XI game starts at 2:00 pm, the last hour will start at 6:45 pm (or 6:55 pm if the innings break is not taken between the tea interval).

A reminder for all clubs (as there have been instances where this has not occured) that

- Team cards, including details of age group players (Under 19), need to be produced prior to the toss and shared with the opposition captain / umpires.

- Team cards need to signed by a responsible person at the club confirming the details.
