3rd XI SUNDAY FIXTURES
Date: 31st May 2013
Wholesale fixture changes resulting from 1st and 2nd XI KO matches on Sunday 2 June.
Seven Chester Cup matches and five Ray Digman matches have decimated the 3rd XI Sunday fixture lists.
Only two Premier Division matches survive and one of these depends on Orrell RT and Rainhill agreeing to switch venues. The other is between Fleetwood Hesketh 3 and Bootle 4.
In Div 1 North East three matches survive: Highfield 4 v Skelmersdale 3; Leigh 3 v Maghull 5; and Spring View 3 v Orrell RT 4.
Also in Div 1 South West three matches will be played: Colwyn Bay 3 v Wavertree 4; Hightown 3 v Old Xavs 3; and Mossley Hill 3 v Parkfield Liscard 3.
The resulting congestion in September for rearranged matches has meant a few other changes need to be agreed. Prestatyn have already filled all the slots including the 11 August so they have agreed to move their match against Sefton Park on 23 June to this Sunday because Northop Hall have teams in both cup competitions. Sefton Park 6 are only free because their match against Alder 5 has been moved to 8 September. Prestatyn will now play Northop Hall on 23 June meaning that Alder 5's match against Northop Hall on 23 June will have to be moved to 18 September. Confused? - I am!
Clubs going forward in the 1st and 2nd XI KOs and with Sunday 3rd XIs will need to take account of their fixtures when arranging their quarter-final matches if we are to avoid being cancelled altogether because a ground is unavailable.
