C&G ANNUAL REPORT 2016

The umpires C&G weekly reports have now been added to the general assessments carried out over the past few years.

The 'final' scores for all clubs are now collated and can be seen by following 'Club and Ground'>Reports>2016 C&G Annual Report.

Clubs will be aware that a significant change to the scoring system was announced at the 2015 AGM and now includes for an assessment of the ground maintenance equipment, its suitability and maintenance, of the groundsman's skill and experience including his availability on match days, and of the experience and qualifications of the 1st XI's scorer. These areas are indicated in orange on the spreadsheet in Column G. The areas which were given lower priority as a result are indicated in yellow on the spreadsheet in Column G. See the KEY at the right hand side of the spreadsheet.

The majority of clubs have yet to be fully assessed in these areas and have been given a temporary score. Therefore the scores are generally at least 2% lower than previously. Iain McKillop hopes to rectify this situation next summer but in the interim clubs are encouraged to study their scores and comment where they feel they have been under-scored. Iain can then prioritise his 2016 visits accordingly. The individual detailed scorecards for each club are in the process of being updated in alphabetical order on the website and should all be available by the end of November.
