Hadden to Parkfield Liscard, Crilly to Wallasey
Date: 19th January 2012
Dave Hadden will be returning to his roots and playing at Parkfield Liscard in 2012. The 45-year-old batsman began his career at the Central Park club and has now opted to come out of retirement to help his old friend and Parkfield Liscard skipper Nigel Jackson.
Hadden played with considerable distinction for New Brighton, Northern, Wallasey and Formby before putting his bat in the loft at the end of the 2009 season.
Meanwhile, Wallasey have recruited Liam Crilly from Maghull. The talented leg-spinner took 48 wickets to help the Old Hall Field side to the First Division championship last summer, and Wallasey's new skipper Chris Bourne will be hoping that Crilly's all-round skills will help his side back to the top flight.
