Henry Olonga to speak at local venue

Henry Olonga came to U.K. as a refugee, following his black arm band protest against the Mugabe regime at 2005 Cricket World Cup.

At the time he was an established test match opening bowler and the first black cricketer to play for Zimbabwe. Since making his home here, he has made a living as singer, poet, writer and celebrated after dinner speaker and continued playing cricket for the Lashings XI.

As a Christian he also speaks of how his faith is a significant part of his life.  Elm Hall Drive Methodist church have arranged a 3 course meal on Feb 2nd 2012 and Henry will be the guest speaker.
