Great opportunity for our youngsters.
We are pleased to confirm that The Liverpool and District Cricket Competition is one of the ten leagues in Lancashire taking part in the newly launched LCB age group cricket tournaments this year. Following a period of consultation the LCB have recast the U13 and U15 competitions to cover the U12 and U14 age groups to complement the existing county player pathway featuring District Cricket at U11, U13 and U15.
The L&DCC U12’s will compete in the LCB U12 Inter League Competition and have been drawn in Group 2 with the Wigan & District League, Bolton Association, Central Lancashire League, and the Ribblesdale league.
The L&DCC U14’s will take part in the LCB Michael Roche Inter League Competition. Also drawn in the second group they will face the Palace Shield, Saddleworth & District League, the Manchester & Salford Youth League and the Ribblesdale league.
The games are to be played by set dates throughout the season and full details can be found on the LCB website: http://www.lancashirecricket.co.uk/index.php/competitions/junior-competitions/junior-clubleague-competitions/3881.html
The programme of matches is an excellent opportunity for youngsters, boys and girls, to represent the League. Further Information, including nomination process and trial dates will be available at the pre-season meeting on 9 April.
In the meantime we are looking for appropriately experienced and/or qualified individuals to help with the management and coaching of both age groups. Anyone interested should contact John Williams on email@example.com
