Lytham have pulled off one of the coups of the pre-season period by signing the highly-rated Lancashire wicketkeeper Alex Davies.
The former Darwen cricketer will replace Nick Knight and open the batting with Fayaz Ughradar for the Church Road side but he will leave the wicketkeeping duties to Martin Hackett.
"I think Alex is a young aggressive batsman with the potential to be a high-quality cricketer," said Lytham skipper Guy Roberts.
"With Nick Knight moving to Australia, we had a spot at the top of the order, Alex had heard a lot about the Liverpool Competition from his team-mates and he's decided to give it a go.
"Oliver Newby, who played for Lytham last season and we hope will do so again this summer, will also have spoken to him about the standard and our former first team skipper Anthony Mulligan had a couple of chats with him over the winter.
