IT's AN ILL WIND THAT BLOWS - UPDATED
Date: 17th April 2013
Clubs suffer from heavy winds
WINDS PLAY HAVOC ACROSS THE COMPETITION.
A number of cricket grounds across the Competition bore the brunt of Wednesday night’s heavy winds as sightscreens were blown down and covers were damaged.
Thankfully the recorded damage is not too serious although three clubs in particular seem to have suffered the worst.
Skelmersdale CC’s sightscreens have been badly damaged with one of them being completely destroyed (see picture) and across the Mersey at Wallasey CC the screens were blown over and the sheeting was ripped away from the frame of the covers. Neighbours New Brighton also suffered some damage - see pictures on their website:

Just another reminder of the work being undertaken, now including repairs, by all those volunteers involved in providing cricket for those in their clubs.
