A family day in celebration of Tony Young
Prestatyn CC’s Weekend Arrangements
Owing to the sudden passing of Prestatyn’s long serving current groundsman, former Chairman and now Vice Chairman, Tony Young, the following arrangements have been agreed with the club for this weekend.
Tony’s family have asked that Saturday’s 1st X1 Cup Match at Beach Close v Parkfield Liscard go ahead and be played as a "cricket club family day" with the whole of the club taking part, in celebration of Tony. As a consequence the 2nd X1 have conceded their Chester cup-tie away at Parkfield. The Prestatyn 3rd X1 are seeking to rearrange their scheduled Sunday game v Hightown until later in the season.
We hope that Saturday is a fitting and appropriate tribute to a much valued and hardworking cricket club man.
