Three year deal is agreed.

After the most careful and meticulous search the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition, the only accredited ECB Premier League in Lancashire, is pleased to announce that it has a new sponsor. Henceforth the league will be known as the Med Imaging Liverpool and District Cricket Competition.

Both the Liverpool Competition and Med Imaging are delighted to have entered into a partnership which, it is confidently hoped, will benefit both parties.

Med Imaging Ltd are successful Diagnostic Imaging specialists, based in Knowsley, Glasgow and Dublin. The company provides maintenance, servicing and equipment to Radiography departments throughout the UK and Ireland. Managing Director Tim Dickinson is also Chairman of Ormskirk Cricket Club, one of the Liverpool Competition’s most long-standing and successful clubs.

Welcoming the sponsorship agreement, Dickinson said: “I am delighted to support the Liverpool Competition having been involved with Ormskirk Cricket Club for forty years, ten as chairman, and seen the way it has improved and developed in recent times. I believe it is vitally important for organisations like mine to support grass roots sports, encouraging youngsters to take part and I am very happy to help the Competition in their continued efforts to do this”.

The three-year, five-figure sponsorship deal was welcomed by L&DCC Chairman John Williams and is the culmination of a search for a new sponsor following the ending of the agreement with the Competition’s previous long-term sponsor earlier this year.

“We are absolutely delighted that Med Imaging and Tim Dickinson have agreed to sponsor the Competition and we thank them most sincerely.” said Williams. “It’s brilliant to get an endorsement from someone so closely involved in local cricket. The sponsorship, as well as helping fund the day to day running of the League, will ensure the continuance of our extensive junior coaching programme and assist with the significantly increased programme of representative matches in the Under 12, 14, 17 and 21 age groups.”
