RAINFORD CRICKET CLUB: NEW PAVILION
Date: 27th January 2010
Work on the new pavilion at Rainford Cricket Club is now well underway.
Work on the new £200,000 pavilion at Rainford Cricket Club is now well underway.
After nearly five years of planning and fund raising club members finally saw the diggers arrive in early November and expect a completion in time for the start of the new cricket season.
The development, which includes new changing and washroom areas; an umpire’s room; storage areas; kitchen and tea room; a scoring facility and a much enlarged club room, is primarily funded through the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Grant Aid Programme and Sport England. Together with a contribution from St Helens Council’s Youth Capital Fund specifically recognising the club’s recent developments in girl’s cricket and money raised by the members themselves, the Jubilee Recreation Ground will proudly house a facility fit for 21st century sport.
