The Joys of Spring 2020
When Robert Browning wrote the words : " Oh to be in England Now that April's there " he was expressing the wish that he could enjoy the joys of an English Spring whilst he was far from home.
All cricket lovers look forward to Spring for this reason, plus the prospect of five months enjoying the greatest of games.
Sadly the latter seems to be on hold and we must concentrate on more serious matters of trying to stay well and looking after those who are not.
I had hoped to visit a number of clubs this year to meet friends old and new. I am as disappointed as you about the immediate prospects but perhaps missing the game we all love, will make us enjoy it the more.
Good luck to you all.
Charlie O'Mahony
