BOB HASLAM - FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS

It is with deep regret that Pete & Ian Haslam (Caldy CC) announce the death of their father Bob Haslam, after a long illness, at the age of 84.
Bob played for West Wirral CC for many years and captained one of their extra XIs in the 1970s and before the 3rd & 4th team played league fixtures and the club became Caldy CC.
He was no mean cricketer having made 100 against Neston and he instilled a love of the game into his three sons, all of whom still play in some form or another and two of whom turn out for Caldy when available.
He fought as hard against the disease that claimed him as he did on the field of play, in both cases without complaint.
Ultimately, the man inside couldn’t help the man outside.
Funeral arrangements Friday 13th May. 13:00 at St Hildebergh’s Parish Church, Hoylake. 14:00 Landican Crematorium. Afterwards at Hoylake Conservative Club.
