Southport & Birkdale Sports Club is much saddened to learn of the death of Honorary Life Member, Vice President, former Club chairman and 2nd XI captain Paul Butler, who passed away on Saturday 3rd August.

S&B 3rd XI and Northop Hall 4ths observed a minute’s silence before their game at Trafalgar Road on Sunday, whilst the Southport team wore black armbands.

The family request a traditional dress code, although if you would like to wear any tie or scarf which associates you to Paul through sport, work or any other connection, that would be most welcome. Any general coloured ties /scarfs are also fine, including traditional black if preferred.

Everyone is welcome to attend any, or all of the three events and venues.
