DR KENNETH ROBERT JONES

Kenneth Robert (Ken) Jones passed away peacefully aged 87 years on July 23rd, 2019.
He was the beloved husband of Catherine, brother of Eryl & Bronwen (deceased), and Pat. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. The Funeral Service was held on Monday 5th August 2019 at 1pm at Springwood Crematorium, notice of which has only just been received.
Ken was a member of Liverpool Cricket Club for decades and was well respected for his bowling of off spin with a unique and much-loved bowling action; he was a member of the great Liverpool CC 1st XIs in the 1950s and 60s and a former captain of the 1st XI.
Ken also had a strong link to Colwyn Bay CC having been evacuated there during WW2.
Ken was the President of Liverpool Cricket Club something he was very proud of and was the Club & Ground Chair of the L&DCC Management Committee from 2002 to 2005 and then the President of the L&DCC from 2006 to 2008
He will be much missed.
