PAUL ALLOTT PRESENTS SPECIAL AWARD TO DEDICATED WOMEN'S CRICKET VOLUNTEER

Paul Bate receives recognition at Emirates Old Trafford for his services to women's cricket

Lancashire's Director of Cricket Paul Allott was on hand to present a special award to Liverpool & District Cricket Competition volunteer Paul Bate following his hard work and dedication to women's club cricket in the last 12 months. 

Paul, who is the Liverpool Comp's Women's and Girls' Cricket Officer, was invited to Emirates Old Trafford to receive his award after having a huge impact by working to develop women's teams, outdoor leagues and indoor competitions. 

He is also Chairman of the Women's and Girls' sub-committee which was established following a restructure in 2019 which enables Paul to work with club's who are engaged in female cricketing development. 

In this role, Paul was vital to the launch of both the inaugural Women's and Girls' (U15) indoor competitions, followed by the launch of summer Soft Ball Leagues off the back of the indoor success. 

Lancashire Cricket Foundation was delighted to welcome Paul to Emirates Old Trafford to receive his award and look forward to continuing to work with him to grow the women's game in 2020 and beyond.
