Liverpool Comp’s 2020 Indoor Cricket Tournament

The fourth and final week of Liverpool Comp’s 2020 Indoor Cricket Tournament saw Tarleton Tornadoes take the Girls U15 Title. With a strong, well balanced team they player good all-round cricket winning all of their group matches before taking the title over Rainhill in the Final. Rainhill’s bowlers impressed and took 12 wickets in their matches across the day.

All the matches were played in a great spirit of friendliness, with some of the girls very new to cricket. The girls were a great credit to their clubs and the League.

Third place went to Wavertree who defeated Hightown Hurricanes by just to 2 runs in a close and exciting Third Place Play Off match.

Congratulations to Phoebe Austin from Tarleton Tornadoes who won Player of the Tournament Award sponsored by ICON Sports with an excellent allround performance. Taking 4 wickets at an average of 5.50, as well as scoring 38 runs at an average of 19, she played a big part in helping her team lift the trophy.
