A stalwart leaves the crease.

News has reached us that John Isterling passed away on Thursday.

John was an L&DCC Vice President and an absolute stalwart to cricket in the North West , he was a very fine administrator with a gift for writing Fixtures and, over the many years, held posts in Club Cricket, the L&DCC, the League Cricket Conference and Lancashire ACO.

Associated with Northop Hall in Wales, he was nevertheless, extensively involved with the Lancashire Schools Cricket Association, administering and managing County age group teams and secondary schools cricket competitions throughout the county.

Our thoughts are very much with Myra his wife.
