MAWDESLEY LADIES ARE SOFT BALL SUPER 8 CHAMPIONS

Mawdesley's graduation from Liverpool Competition's entry level Women's Softball League, which they had won in both 2021 and 2022, could not have been smoother when they ended the season as Champions of the Softball Super 8's League, at the first time of asking. Led expertly by captain Mel Moores, the School Lane outfit achieved their win with time to spare, boasting a 100% record with victories over both rivals Winstanley Park and Ormskirk.

With 2 batters in the top 3 aggregate League run scorers, as well as a bowler sharing top wicket taker, the newcomers took the title by 6 points from fellow debutants Winstanley Park.
