RAIN RULES FOR LOVE LANE LEAGUES

Hughie Evans has reminded all umpires of the adapted Ray Digman, Chester and Mike Leddy Rules in the case of Rain this Saturday. See below:

In case of bad weather, overs are to be deducted from the scheduled start (No one hour delay)
The overs should be reduced so that each team bats for the same number of overs (2 overs for every full period of 7.5 minutes)
If play is suspended during the second innings, one over shall be deducted for every full 3.75 minutes
No time penalties are to be applied so no over reductions required if teams go beyond the scheduled finish time of either innings
No ‘bowl out’ as points are awarded for a tie and no result

If poor weather does cause a delay to the start of your match on Saturday, the latest start time is 3.30pm. This allows for the minimum match to be played i.e. 20 overs per side with a 10 minute break between innings.
