2021 CUP COMPETITIONS
Clubs will recall the decision taken at a full meeting of all Clubs in March that the Cup Competitions in 2021 should be played as T20’s
The meeting decided that Cup Cricket should be played, but recognised the possible time constraints on use of grounds including the growth of Women’s and Girls Cricket and the reported increase of Junior interest, allied to the uncertainty of the Covid required environment. It was agreed therefore that each 1st, 2nd and 3rd team would compete in one cup competition (Digman, Tyler, Chester, Tittershill and Mike Leddy) appropriate to their level, with all Cups played as T20’s in 2021. Matches can be played midweek as well as on Sunday afternoons. (Further details to follow).
Please note the following points:
1. All matches are to be played under the ECB T20 Regulations as posted on our website

2. Following ECB Policy, White or coloured clothing can be used with a preference for both sides playing in coloured clothing. Pink balls must be used. The League will provide Pink Tiflex balls for each final
3. Please note. In accordance with Paragraph 8 of our Playing Regulations, the MCUA will appoint Umpires for all 1st X1 fixtures in this t20 format. Clubs must contact Kevin Wilson 07887617940 kevin1949@virginmedia.com As normal, Umpires will be provided at all finals.
4. The ‘play by’ date for Preliminary Rounds in the Ray Tyler, Sandy Tittershill, and Mike Leddy Cups is 4 July.
The ‘play by’ date for the First round in all cups is 25 July
