WANT TO STAY IN OR GET INVOLVED IN CRICKET?

Come and join the umpire community and here’s the benefits:

  • Best place to watch cricket from.
  • Social interaction with fellow umpies, players and other officials.
  • Opportunity to support all forms of recreational cricket: men’s, women’s, youths, disabilities, etc.
  • From club to professional cricket via the ECB ACO pathway.

This is an ACO Course with the MCUA in partnership with L&DCC providing the education to give the introduction to umpiring and encouraging individuals by:

  • Arranging an ECB course to provide individuals with the basics to give umpiring a go.
  • For existing umpires, a refresher course is being held.

The new umpires ‘Stage 2’ ECB Course requires an outlay of £30 which will be reimbursed immediately after the course, with a free field jacket supplied by L&DCC for those going on to umpire in LDCC League Cricket.. This course is to be held at a venue to be arranged on Sunday 30th January. There is the prerequisite to complete the free on-line Stage 1 course prior to starting the Stage 2 course.

For the existing umpire’s refresher this is the ideal opportunity to brush up your knowledge and openly discuss on field scenarios’, in preparation for the new season. This course will be free of charge and is to be held at Southport and Birkdale CC on Sunday 13th February.
