DISCIPLINARY REPORT - AGREED ACTION

A Disciplinary Report was received from the match between Bootle 4th XI and Rainhill 3rd XI on 24 August.

This offence was originally reported in a Bulletin dated 25 August

The player Paul Stephens was banned for one week commencing at midnight on Friday 29th August as a preliminary punishment pending a Committee Meeting to be held in week commencing Monday 1st September, to discuss further action. The proposed action was not accepted by the Disciplinary Committee and a Hearing was held on 11 September. The Hearing Panel's decision was appealed by Bootle CC and the Appeal Hearing was held on 26 September.

The Appeal Panel saw merit in the club's appeal and agreed to impose a ban of four weeks (one already served) with four weeks suspended until the end of the 2015 season. The offence was deemed to be a serious case of player abuse. The ban will commence at midnight on the Friday immediately before the start of the 2015 season.
