ARRANGEMENTS FOR MATCHES 27/28 APRIL

Following on from the decision taken by clubs at the pre-season meeting to adopt the ‘Play if you can- Rearrange if you cannot’ approach on the weekend of Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April, here is a reminder of the Communication arrangements underpinning this process:

Decision for each game, whether going ahead or not, by 7pm on Monday 22 April

1^st 2^nd X1s HOME TEAMmust notify – BY EMAIL– rob.durand@btinternet.com (League will inform MCUA) by no later than 7pm on Monday 22 April.

3^rd X1s (Saturday and Sunday) HOME TEAMmust notify – BY EMAIL – robmorris8@gmail.com by no later than 7pm on Monday 22 April.

As notified at the meeting:

Once the game starts the normal situation as set out in the playing Regulations Section 5 applies.
If the game does not take place, i.e. a ball is not bowled, because the ground is unfit then, it can be rearranged.

GAMES TO BE REARRANGED FROM 27/28 APRIL

The clubs must agree a date for the rearranged fixture by no later than 7pm on Friday 3 May. Once logged in, this date cannot be changed (other than in exceptional circumstances and as approved by the Management Committee)
The fixture must be played by no later than SUNDAY 13 JULY(in accordance with para 9.2.3 of the constitution)
The normal situation as set out in the playing Regulations Section 5 applies.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

For 3^rd X1 matches on 27/28 April if both sides agree it may be possible to reverse the venue.
The registration deadline on play cricket is on either Wednesday 24 or Wednesday 1 May dependent on which option is chosen.
Paragraph 4.1.3 in the playing regulations, relating to Locked fixtures, applies.
