100% record takes Trophy to Sandy Lane

Hightown St Mary's Women registered their first Liverpool Comp title win after securing this season's Women's T20 League, with a game spare. Leading from the first round of games back in May, the front-runners stayed the course with a 100% record and a 4 point margin over last year's winners Sefton Park, in second.

With the two top league performers in their ranks, the team from Sandy Lane produced consistent performances across the season. Overseas player Maddie Green top scored with 271 runs and Hightown junior leg spinner Eve Hannaway was the leading wicket taker with 9 wickets at an average of just above 8.
