LANCASHIRE INTER LEAGUE CRICKET

COMP competing at U11 U13 U15 and U18. Full details of how to get involved.

LANCASHIRE INTER LEAGUE CRICKET 2021

We now publish details of the newly launched Lancashire Inter League Cricket Competitions for 2021. These replace the previous U12 and U14 League Competitions as well as District Cricket.  Administered and managed by the Lancashire Cricket Foundation they represent an investment by the LCF in this level of Junior Cricket. The Competition will have input from the County’s Cricket Development Officers and is positioned on the County Pathway as one step below, or away from, County recognition.

The Liverpool Competition is competing at all age groups U11 13 15 and 18 and the fixture programme and dates can be accessed via the link below.  The U18s retains its monthly match programme beginning in early June with the Comp playing the GMCL on Friday 4 June whilst the other age groups play five games in August.

The plans for Girls U12 and U14 are currently being drawn up by the Women’s and Girls CDO’s and more information will be available shortly.

Further and full details of the Competition can be found on the following:

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOUNG PLAYERS AND FOR THE LIVERPOOL COMPETITION?

For the promising youngsters in your clubs it represents a brilliant opportunity to develop their game and test themselves at a higher level.  At U11 boys and U12 girls’ level, the focus will be on player development, and the rules and regulations of the competition reflect this.  At U13 boys and U14 girls’ level the focus remains on player development, with a competitive conclusion when the best identified 24 players compete in a final. At U15 and U18 boys’ level the competition culminates in a final.

For our League it represents an opportunity to develop relationships performing against other leagues and continue with our own programme of investment in young players, building on our Player Development Programme.

WHAT WE NEED NOW

Managers and Coaches

From a previous email and posting seeking Managers and Coaches, we now have Manager/Coaching Teams at U11 and U18. We now need volunteers to come forward for the U13 and U15 Teams. Managers must have a current DBS and Coaches must be qualified with in-date SPC and First Aid Qualifications. Managers receive travel and any associated expenses and Coaches receive a match day allowance.

Interested Individuals should contact johnawilliams1@btinternet.com  or ring 07767441978

Players

We are looking for nominations from all clubs playing in the Liverpool Competition (with the exception of those playing in the Wigan Junior League, taking part in the Inter League Competition itself). This includes nominations from clubs in Wales and the Wirral.

Particularly at the higher age groups, Clubs are asked to bear in mind the positioning of this tournament by the LCF and the expected quality level of those taking part.

Please note that EPP, Academy and County Squad members are ineligible, with the exception of any players selected for the County at U10, who may play Inter League at U11.

Nominations should be submitted by EMAIL to johnawilliams1@btinternet.com clearly setting out:

Name, Date of Birth, Cricket Year, Club. Contact email and phone, and free text setting out current teams played for and supporting information.

The Closing date for nominations for Under 18s (previously notified to all clubs) was 14 May.

Closing date for nominations for Under 11 13 and 15 is 28 May (Trials to be arranged)

Please ensure that all those responsible for Junior Cricket in your club are informed of the above. Thank You.
