Success for U21 representative side against MCC

Rose, Naylor and Dorsey take the honours

This was a tremendous performance from our U21s in the Annual Fixture against the MCC, showing the true strength in depth of the League when unable to play (for good reason) in excess of 20 County Age Group and County elite players.

Some excellent bowling and fielding saw the MCC declare on 210 for 9 with young Jaden Rose on his home ground excelling with 3 for 9 and two wickets apiece for Jackson Darkes-Sutcliffe and Jared Clein.

Liam Naylor ( 65) and Sam Dorsey (55) shared a third wicket stand of 74 to set up the win, finished off with contributions from Clein, Darkes-Sutcliffe and Chris Giby for a 4 wicket Win.

Many thanks to the MCC and David Snellgrove for the fixture, once again; thanks to Bootle CC for being such great hosts; and thanks to those Comp lads for taking the opportunity and agreeing to play.
