PLACES AVAILABLE ON THE WOMEN'S and GIRLS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Course, to be led by ECB Women's Level 4 Coach Jen Barden, now expanded.

The first ever Liverpool Competition Women’s and Girls Player Development Programme is due to begin on Saturday 5 February at St Bede’s Cricket Centre, Ormskirk.

Women and Girls in the Liverpool Competition are set to benefit from quality coaching planned and delivered by the only ECB Level 4 Women’s Coach in the North West, Jen Barden. Jen is currently the Women’s Senior Regional Talent Manager for the North West, having spent many years developing Women’s and Girls Cricket with Lancashire Cricket Club. Experienced coaches Tim McKiernan and Paul Bate complete the coaching team ready to deliver training and development as part of the Leagues commitment to delivering the ECB “Inspiring Generations” Strategy.

Running alongside the Boys scheme the programme, originally aimed at those playing inter league last year and now expanded, is funded by the Liverpool Competition ensuring that there are no barriers to taking part.

The Programme will also provide an immediate opportunity for some of the ten Liverpool Competition Ladies recently completing their Level 1 Foundation Course, funded by the Competition together with the Lancashire Cricket Foundation, to practice their new found skills.
