ORMSKIRK LADIES SCOOP THE 2023 SOFT BALL ENTRY LEVEL TITLE

Liverpool Lions finish in second place by just one point.

The first of the Liverpool Competition's Women & Girls 2023 titles was decided last month, with Ormskirk winning the Women's Softball League for the first time. The league competition, organised over 4 Meets across the season where multiple games take place, produced an exciting finish at the final event held at Northern CC. The West Lancashire club took the title by just one point over Liverpool Lions, who were in their first season of competition cricket. The competition proved fruitful for all debutants with New BrIghton, also in their first year, finishing in 3rd place. The closing Meet at Moor Park saw all teams come together for the final round of fixtures, with 5 games taking place simultaneously across the club's two back pitches. A great sight to behold.

All participants received medals prior to the winning captain coming forward to lift the trophy for the Brook Lane team. Congratulations go to them and to every one of the players across all the clubs who took part in this season's highly successful entry level competition, now in its fifth year.
